I visited Venice back in 2015 but the memories are still fresh as if it were yesterday. Venice can get overwhelming easily because it’s blisteringly hot in the summer which is when most tourists go, there’s no car or taxi because the lanes and streets are so tiny you have to walk wherever you go or then wait in line for a water taxi which can get expensive fast.
Despite all that Venice is charming. With Gondolas swiftly going up and down through the canals, lovely cafes and Veniean baccaris facing the water and of course all that glorious Italian architecture. My tip for Venice is to go in the winters when it’s quieter and marginally less crowded.

The Queen of Clubs visited warm Venice
In that mask, doesn’t she look a menace
She cools off with cocktails
In gondolas she sails
And in her goggles she reflects an elegant edifice!
